The club are not paying £144 for somebody that does this journey. Unless we can get hold of the cost per head that the club pays to the travel companies, difficult to compare with the 'subsidy.'
Your own comment said the increase to £50 was to cover the club's costs. If so, it's not a subsidy.
What about the drivers, walkers, cyclists, short-distance travellers ? Subsidy for them ?
So it's no longer a subsidy ? It would be much more honest to scrap the 'subsidy' and let people pay their own way to get to the ground.
Are there any clubs that don't need a transport system in place ? I can't recall an away ground whereby I have not had to pay for my transport to that...
Why 'HAS' to, Bozza ? A comparison with inflation (price and wage) might be helpful rather than a comparison with some ideal of what it should cost to sit in the Amex. Love you, mate, but less of the cheerleading for the club please :)
So, home fans behind both goals abandoned. Prices rise circa 4 times inflation (without catering increases.) And categorisation to be used to charge more for the big cup games than we charged for Newc/Arse.
