You make a fair point, I don't disagree - Importantly though, any clamour to ban trick or treaters would be met with howls of derision and the words 'pc gone mad' and/or 'health and safety nutters'. Wearing a mask for trick or treat = Great fun, wearing a burka = sinister and intimidating.
No! For the vast majority of people, the burka is not something they have ever been concerned about, they would barely ever see one. He's whipping it up as an issue, it so obvious, so blatant, I can't believe people fall for it.
Ahh, the old "He's only saying what people think" - So it's okay to whip up hysteria about muslims and how they dress, which is exactly what he's trying to do, by the way. How may of these people of the public have ever even see a woman in a veil? Few, I imagine.
