We have many, many people in this country with mental health issues, sadly many end up taking their own lives, what they don't do is get a gun or three and take as many others with them as possible in schools, cinemas and shopping malls.

No I read it thanks and I have heard it all before. You can't amend the 2nd amendment because the whole of the US will fall apart and it's not a gun problem it's a people with mental health problems' problem. What have I misunderstood, I will admit I have only just woken up.

Well there it is why gun control will never happen in the US.

Federal gun control is the only way to deal with this problem once and for all, if it's left to the states many will have no gun control for generations to come. There has to be a fundamental rethinking of the 2nd amendment and that has to be country wide not with 50 discussions all happening...

People have a choice about their sugar intake, that student today did not have choice about their bullet intake did they?

Bottom line is there have been 74 school shootings since Sandy Hook and no national gun control measures at all. Wake up America and for once look out and see ways to make this crazy situation better.
