    I think you need to get some perspective here. If I bought a house in the 70s ,paid for it and left it to my children, why should they be taxed if the value has gone from £25K to £350K? Is that inheriting massively? Surely better than sponging off the benefits and living in subsidised rental...

    Disagree. The threshold does not reflect property prices and punishes a family where the parents have saved and paid for their house so that they can leave a decent amount for their children.Completely agree with the million pound estates being taxed though.
