I thought to myself today, that the top 6 would need to average 40 ( total 240), to give them a chance. The top 4 have scored 135. Therefore, the remaining 7 have to score 176. Notwithstanding extras....
i still see England as favourites, as the pitch is not easy and we're getting the ball...
And the chances of a mistake being made or a bad bounce etc. increase. Keep it tight and the pressure builds; this is one of the great things about test cricket. It's so different to one day stuff.
Mark, be sensible. Although that would be astounding, it's extremely unlikely.
And as for "need to be", we may even have enough on the board now.
I'd love another 40-50, as that would put added pressure on them, and I can't see this becoming a batsmans paradise somehow.
