They wouldn’t have the facilities or capability to produce product in the volume that Wetherspoons would require anyway. There’s room for both in the world.
It’s more that you brand all Wetherspoons as shit by default, not taking into account the number of absolutely dreadful “local taverns” which are considerably worse in terms of clientele, cleanliness, quality of ale and value.
There are some really good Wetherspoons and some really shit ones...
