2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

I don't care, that was a brilliant game decided in the final session of the final day. Positive cricket all round, both sides will have learnt lessons and the next Test should be even better.

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

Should be able to knock 123 off but 2 quick wickets will change it all. I don't blame Root in the least, you should be able to defend 320 plus in the 4th innings, especially against the West Indies.

Can't see anything but an England win, West Indies currently scoring at less 2 an over, Cook just dropped a sitter...

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

Well done Root, that would never have happened under Cook, may get 1 or 2 wickets tonight or maybe not, but you have to give yourselves the chance.

A shame, but that innings has taken the game away from the West Indies. A quick few from Woakes etc. and lets get bowling...

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

149 lead, need at least another 50, you wouldn't fancy a 200 plus run chase on the fifth day?

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

New ball taken post Lunch, this pair need to survive the next hour even if they don't score too much. If they do England could well set a winning total. Goes without saying that I'm not optimistic about this of course.

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

169 runs behind, West Indies bowlers fired up and our Numbers 2, 3 and 5 not scoring runs. Might be over by this time tomorrow...

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

After toiling yesterday First two deliveries by Anderson take wickets - isn't cricket a strange game? 75 lead already looks useful, perhaps if England's 2, 3 and 5 decided to turn up in the Second Innings we might make a game of it...

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

250 up, Windies looking a bit jaded and dropping catches, 300 on the cards?

236-7, another 60 runs and that is the West Indies done & dusted I reckon.

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

Equalled - obviously got a good chance to set the Record with a third Test coming up against such weak opposition, having said that the Windies have bowled far better in this match.

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

140-5 - you have to think that anything much above 250 is going to be a competitive score given the hapless West Indies batting last time.

2nd Investec Test Match - England v West Indies - Headingly

Just pray Root doesn't get injured before the Ashes, absolutely the glue holding this team together at present.
