On the FPT 9000s, yes, but you learn to anticipate it.

I flew to Spain on a Dan Air Comet in about 1973. Terrible flight, spent two hours hurling. I had a 900 and two 9000s. Yes they were solidly built but all were a terrific drive with bags of power.
