I’ve used it a dozen or so times a year, for ten years, and have literally never seen a queue of more than two or three cars.
(but all of those trips have been for work. No chance I’m using the Toll if I’M paying!)
I'm certain that in this scenario, it would be completely fine. My 23 year old lad, has no driving license, so the only form of photo ID has owns is his passport. He's not carrying that about with him all over the country, on potentially messy away days.
Unless people are risking passing on tickets to other people, then I can't understand why anyone would have a problem being ID checked?
If it is that people don't want to carry physical ID about with them, then just keep a photo of your driving license or passport photo page, on your phone.
I have ZERO inside knowledge on this, but I'm going to speculate that the players getting a few days in the SUN, on some cushy little winter break training camp, in the Algarve or Dubai, is dependant on this NOT going to a replay. That ought to spur our lads on a bit.
I'm not going to lie and pretend that the 15 loyalty points (and cheap tickets) were not a factor, in the lad and I deciding to make Stoke one of our rare away trips.
But our position in the LP food-chain is such that the points might very well make no difference to our UEL last 16 chances...

I was nearly right: JFC actually came on as sub FOR Battipiedi...
We may have been in League One, but I LOVED that Albion side...
................................Brezovan...
I didn't go last year, but went to the previous one. What a turnaround from then to now - they were the PL side, and we were in L1, and I think played a centre midfield of Forster Caskey and Battipiedi!
This is a much easier attitude to take, when your personal investment in the day, does not include an 8 hour round trip. There are at least 4,000 Albion fans travelling, in the expectation that we'll be very competitive.
You do know we have to play West Ham first?
8 days is a long time in Albion-injury-land. No doubt, at least one more to scrub off your list, when this game comes round.
I think we'll be as strong as we can be, given that there is no first team game for two weeks after that one.
Also, the opportunity to blood many of the U21s is impacted by their own last 16 FLT match at the AMEX, a couple of days later.
