I too, would rather Newcastle won the FA Cup this year, than got promoted.

I'm not on that bus, I'm afraid. I still LOVE the FA Cup, and want the Albion to WIN it (as well as going up). At lot will depend on the 3rd Round draw. The side Hughton puts out will be determined by who we are playing. Either of us get a real minnow and you've lost your Sat 3pm ko, anyway.

Well, technically there are TWO chances - we're both knocked out in R3 and the game goes ahead as planned, or we get drawn to play each other in R4. The first isn't THAT unlikely mind, given that neither club is probably going to be seeing the Cup as priority this season.

As covered at length - they KNOW that game will not get played on the scheduled weekend.

That is true. Presumably though, if Sky want to show it, they'll have some influence over the new date. I guess they do. My point is simply that, when Sky announce that this game has been picked, there should be no reason for the usual (quite justified) wailing about it, as with or without...

The odds of both Newcastle AND the Albion, both going out of the FA Cup in round 3 are slim. Very little chance of that game being on the 28th - which in a way is a GOOD thing, as now Sky can show it on the new date, without messing up the fixture just for the sake of it (ie better they show one...
