Crikey. SECOND place is up grabs all of a sudden. Middlesex need a draw to send Lancashire down :clap2: In fact just six bonus points will be enough, even if Lancashire were to win.

BBC is saying Sussex WIN by 191 runs. Lolz. Who proof-reads these crap sites?

Correct - its no different to that. I was only really questionning your comparison of the Bosman ruling to the Kolpak regs.

No, because the Bosman ruling is only related to players' contracts rather than movement between nations, and thus has no reference to his eligibility to play here (Brighton could field 11 EU players if they wished). In cricket on the other hand, there is an issue of eligibility - only one...

That is most definitely it now, though. Spectacular figures. We are very lucky to have him. As I said earlier, SCCC - Joyce - Goff = Northants

Notts one down. Hales gone to the Goff. That'll be it though.

Would it? Or would the onus be on the other side to prove that he didn't?

Its not about how intelligent he is though - its how intelligent his defence team are. They'll look at what words he actually said, then sit down and think of the least damaging meaning they could possibly ascribe to them, then maintain that was what he meant by it.

Its not a pleasant exchange. You could argue that it was xenophobic rather than racial though. I guess Gale / Yorkshire's stance will (have to) be that it was a comment on the rights and wrongs of his eligibility to qualify as a non-overseas player...

The only acceptable outcome is a deduction of 100 points form Gale's county. The fight for second place is now on. Come on Sussex! (Actually, I do believe that they COULD fairly argue that in the context of tenuous Kolpak registrations, the phrase 'go back to your own country' COULD be used...

    52 from 12 overs? 43 from 8? He's terribly expensive. Rushworth OUT.

Notts 247 without loss now, if you don't count the Goff's 2 wickets.

If you take away Gary Keedy's three wickets, Notts are really stuggling! 329/6 btw. Nash gone for 178. Brown and Jordan pushing things along.
