That's not what you said though. You didn't say "I'd not shoot a lion becuase I can't eat it, and nor is it vermin". You said "I'd not want to shoot one because to me they are shaggy mangy looking things." Its a bit confusing Tyrone.
Btw, which are crocodiles? Vermin or sunday lunch?
Its not really to do with 'hypotheticals' at all. You very clearly said the reason you wouldn't shoot a lion is because you don't find them beautiful. Look:
That's why I asked you to confirm for us, that them being a bit more magnificent, in your eyes, would make you more disposed to shooting one.
But if you found the big furry head beautiful, or perhaps all fierce - baring its teeth to look a bit scary, like your buffalo horns? Surely then it would be great to shoot one?
You responded to Commanders analogy (that if shooting non-natives was fair game, then aboriginies should be able to shoot white people) saying that it would be okay to shoot tourists - i.e. newly arrived white folk, but not yourself - a descendant of immigrants. Thus, to run with the ANALOGY it...
Oh, and this bit please. You appear to be saying that if you DID find them beautiful, then you would be more disposed to killing them? Do you really not see how fu.cked up that is?
Just to clarify this bit, then, given your response to Commander's analogy - I take it you only shoot first generation interlopers. Feral kittens, perhap? - and that 5th, 6th generation feral cats are 'native' / okay?
