    Gourmet Burger Kitchen would probably do then, although it's a chain. They're pretty good, but never blown away. You do get a sit down meal though and the milkshakes are good.

    Troll's Pantry don't at the arches, but do at The Druid's Arms. Their chips are ok in my experience. Burger Brothers don't at all, but you can get fancy crisps I think. Should have been clearer.

    Troll's Pantry is good and is about £8 for a burger (just a burger, no chips). They are under the arches underneath Brighton station. Burger Brothers are a little cheaper (starting at £6.50) and better in my opinion. They're towards the bottom of North Road.

    Burgers are, obviously, fast food. But that doesn't mean you can't have opinions on them, that you can't say that one burger place is better than another. I'd never make the argument that they're fine dining, that'd be idiotic, but to claim that all burgers are the same because they're fast food...

    Sure, but my point is the way you cook it does matter. A McDonalds burger doesn't taste the same as a Grubbs burger, let alone Burger Brothers.

    That's like saying all steaks are equivalent. A good steak cooked well is very different from a cheap steak cooked badly. Surely you think that's true?

    Agree on the Best Sunday Lunch and Best Burger awards. I like The Lion & Lobster more than The Basketmakers Arms
