    yep sounds familiar in the years we were at railway cottage I went out and helped a good few out of their more than slightly dented cars

    we got used to the trains so much so that on the first Christmas day when they were not running it woke me up wondering what had gone wrong :eek:

    they were apparently built for the railway gangers and info from the other cottage occupier said that they were also used as a Sunday school. there were also cottages at or near the Brangwyn estate and at Mill lane in Patcham

    this one is Mighell Street most of which has now been demolished this is Hollingbury and at the bottom there is Carden Avenue one of my mates used to live in the flats above those shops his family had one of the shops he passed away some time ago at a very early age

    correct on the left Gladstone terrace and on the right in the distance are the shops where we owned a caf'e

    yep he is right that yew tree in front of the first cottage was so big we had to have one of the branches cut out to stop it going through the roof it was a cracking little place at sometimes I wish we had never left there (we left to start a business at the Lewes road caf'e)
