they were apparently built for the railway gangers and info from the other cottage occupier said that they were also used as a Sunday school.
there were also cottages at or near the Brangwyn estate and at Mill lane in Patcham
this one is Mighell Street most of which has now been demolished
this is Hollingbury and at the bottom there is Carden Avenue
one of my mates used to live in the flats above those shops his family had one of the shops

that yew tree in front of the first cottage was so big we had to have one of the branches cut out to stop it going through the roof
it was a cracking little place at sometimes I wish we had never left there (we left to start a business at the Lewes road caf'e)
