This is perfectly true. Liam went to Sunderland expecting to set the Prem on fire. According to Sunderland forum he's been a total waste of money and some have even said we stitched them up.... my heart bleeds. It would be great if as someone else has posted, we got further payments from them...

I'm not advocating we replace Leo, but if the club is canny enough and done it's homework then you certainly could replace him adequately for the figure you have mentioned...... There are always snips to be had.....we only paid around 2 million for him in the first place. So he is an example...

I don't think that's actually accurate, I haven't seen any of the previous 114 posts on this thread that have knocked him. But several that think 6.5 mill might be a good deal. For me it would depend where we end up, and what the alternatives are.:smile:

True, in fact it appears to have harmed him more than us. As Sunderland appear to have survived relegation, and with Black Cats supporters (and possibly Poyet) realising he's not up to the Prem, as they've improved since he's not been playing.
