I agree. I think the club would do it, recognising that there's always a premium on strikers. Within reason of course. And allowing for the fact that said striker would need to fit the profile (relatively young, decent resale value etc).

Stockdale is an excellent signing, and one that a number of other clubs would have fancied, I'd wager. I think he'll be great for us.
Hughes is a solid, dependable, experienced defender for very little investment. I like that kind of deal.
