As you haven't stated it, I'm guessing you are referring to the cases where someone has come along and used someone else's season ticket and got hooked etc. If so, I hardly think that is a rebuttal!

I think the point is that, legally, the tickets are not transferable but some were using a facility to share their season which wasn't the point of the system. As it's been broadcast the club have to be seen to be doing something about it. It's hardly heavy handedness, just some people wanting...

A bit OTT. The club aren't going out of their way to prevent new fans, all they are doing is making sure the person in whose name the ticket was bought is the person that uses it. They may have turned a blind eye to some things as long as it was not being overly abused but threads like this...

Or they stick your photo on your season ticket and that gets checked everytime you go in!!!!1
