I applied for two events and got one, the 800m Womens freestyle. Fingers crossed, should see Adlington pick up a medal for Team GB.

How frustrating! Have been checking the wrong account. Realised today that money taken from different account so looks like we have got tickets although now need to wait to see whether they are for the final night of the Athletics or for the final of the 800m womens freestyle (Adlington's event).

No money gone yet today but still early doors. However, they have kindly sent me an email telling me that if I don't get tickets then there will be a second chance issue. Judging by the list of sports I suspect they are the ones undersubscribed!

I'd have made it easier. If they have allocated you tickets, then send an email advising that the money comes out the following day. They have all the information on their file and that system is not beyond the capabilities of the IT boffins. Also, why didn't they let you rank events so that...

So, for those of you that have applied for tickets, have any you had money taken out of your account today? None from mine yet so it's going to be a long old wait until the 10th June (I think that's the last date).
