In our road, over the weeks, the clapping has got much shorter, and the chatter afterwards much longer. It’s gone from a long period of clapping and a quick ‘how are you doing ?’ To a couple of mins of (much more vigorous) clapping and noise and 30 mins of chat. Which is nice.

Full turnout from the 30-odd houses in our close tonight, including the 90 year olds next door with their kitchen utensils. Great stuff.

Could you indicate who is allowed to clap please given your holier-than-though comments ? I'm a bit unclear now as I didn't vote ('none of the above' would have been my preferred choice). What are you, the ****ing clapping police ? Sounds like you need to move house as well........

.....my daughter just said 'Whoopeee, clapping, does that mean I'll get a fresh mask more than once every 3 hours then ?' :shrug: I'm still going to do it next week though.
