He claimed he’d been exchanging messages with the Gay Footballer.............given he quickly moved on this sounded more like he might have sent a message (probably BEGGING for an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW on HIS show) but got ignored.

All about potential revenue now isn’t it ? Drag it out, raise the profile/story even more before the ‘big reveal’........at which point we’ll shrug our shoulders, say ‘oh, him’ and go back to debating Dunky’s transfer value.

I suspect once one player comes out there will be a few others (after a while - perhaps waiting to see what reaction the first one gets) - even if this one is fake it's surely only a matter of time. The terrace songsmiths will have a fine line to tread between breaking the law/getting banned...
