ISIS do use chemical weapons (or are at least believed to be developing them) - there was a lot reported about it last year....and whilst they might be the biggest threat by some distance, I guess they're not the only one...
Maybe the detailed security advice and guidance the club gets all the time from the experts perhaps ? The club will have an ongoing risk assessment process that will consider loads of factors.........and will, using a risk-based approach, continually adapt it's rules and procedures in the light...
Re the water, the club know the source of the bottles in the kiosks. What you turn up with could be any clear liquid...........same as being able to buy bottled water after security screening at the airport to take on the plane but not being able to take your own (or any other liquid over 100ml)...

They’ve reduced drinks prices by the way, so it’s not about revenue.
Be a bit of a nightmare for the stewards as people think they can take their drink to their seat rather than just the empty glass they need to hold on to to be able to get a full one at half time or after the game
Wasn't this blindingly obvious from the start ? Club seems to be acting at the cautious end of the scale relative to other similar venues for now, but maybe they've had advice re a specific threat, are ahead of the game or whatever. I agree with Giraffe - it'll be airport-style security before...
Now everyone knows flasks are banned, anyone seen with one on the train/nearby will IMMEDIATELY be shopped to the nearest PCSO as a likely Jihadist, surely ?
