    [News] Drink driving - why?

Once, when I was 16 on a moped......I was pissed, but still managed to decide to take the backroads to avoid getting nicked. I fell off, and woke up the next morning still in the road, my bike a few yards away (and my helmet still in the pub). Young, foolish and 35 years ago........

    [News] Drink driving - why?

Sorry it’s a personal opinion, not a criticism of the sentencing............based on the facts as known I’m not sure the punishment fits the crime.

    [News] Drink driving - why?

It’s not a question of what is ‘allowed’ (translation = “what I think I can get away with without getting done if stopped”), it’s what amount is going to impair your driving. No way in the world I would want...

    [News] Drink driving - why?

Which is, I would imagine, massively disproportionate to the number of drivers on the road of course..........(I know, I’m about to be whooshed) Zero simply wouldn’t work, but reducing the tolerance level to align with most of the rest of Europe would change current behaviours for many. Those...

    [News] Drink driving - why?

Think Ant maybe has MH issues which whilst not justifying it at all may go some way at least to explaining it (and no doubt will be used in his defence if he's charged with anything). Possibly needs help as well as punishment. More generally, the allowable % limit in bloodstream should be...
