    I obviously didn't follow it closely enough at the time......that said, having done jury service, one of the cases brought by the CPS I was involved in was plain daft and should never have been brought.

    If Evans is ultimately found not guilty, his position isn't a million miles away from Dunk is it ? Some behaviour that many would consider pretty unpleasant, but not a criminal.

Unless you're in possession of all the evidence, have seen the individuals under cross examination etc etc it's impossible know exactly what went on and the most likely...

    They were aware of the risks for sure, but I suspect badly misjudged the strength of feeling that it generated. They must be a bit stupid to have thought they could get him signed without a massive backlash given all the previous publicity surrounding the case. Not sure mob rule is the right...

    Exactly......only the jury and court officials have any idea really. He may well have been nervous. He may have been an arrogant c@ck. Who knows.
