    Its actually one, if not the largest object in the Kuiper belt rather than a planet, as has been discussed. Latest images shown has the dwarf planet showing a reddish tinge similar to Mars, which is surprising as I thought it might look like an icy ball like Jupiter's moon Europa. Pluto also...

    Doubt they will find any aliens there. Seriously, this should be exciting viewing, and there could be some interesting data from the instruments. The voyager probes were a spectacular success in the 70/80s.
