Great win for Selby, and what a night for the city of Leicester. World Snooker Champion and Premier League champions within 13 minutes of each other.
They'll make it into a film one day.
Tonight is a write off, Hawk will probably already be out and I think Higgins will run away with it from here. Hoping for better in the Semi's from tomorrow.
Fu started like a train against the Hawk, 3-0 already. I did worry how much that epic win would have taken out of Hawkins and whether he's got anything left in the tank playing again so soon after.
Lets hope the two this afternoon are more competitive. Angles will need to roll back the years to get close to Higgins but I have high hopes for Fu v The Hawk.
I'd love to see Ding win it. Seems like a pretty humble guy which must be difficult considering his superstar status and the pressure on him from China, he's carried it well. Also glad he knocked Trump out who needs a bit of an ego check, he;s not really achieved anything yet in the game yet...

Angles v The...
6-4 GAME ON
Gilbert has played magnificently and against most of the players I've seen so far would be sporting a healthy lead going into the final session.
Unbelievable first weekend. The Champ is already out, Ball Run GONE!!! Incredible drama and tension on Saturday night, firstly Bingham showing balls the size of Brazil to close from 8-5 down to 9-8 up the stuff World Champs are made of but he couldn't close the deal and Carter heroically fought...
Love the snooker, there's not many sports that have had a top 5 chart hit written about them. This years edition could be a classic, Ronnie as always the man to beat but I feel he can be ground down in this marathon matches and there's at least half the field who will feel they have genuine...
One of the highlights of the UK sporting calendar begins on Saturday, in arguably one of the greatest venues in all sport. 17 days of thrills, spills and high drama and I, for one, can't wait.
:O:O:O
First Round draw was made by Sir Trevor McDonald and Lulu this morning and has thrown up some...
