I can eat humble pie on that comment. And I still think it is a stupid decision and I still think it is okay to sarcastically call the man that a decided to shut the station after this event a "bright spark".
I doubt they will shut the station. For a start Southern Rail wouldn't want to lose out on the income generated from people using the trains to get there. And there would be no way that whilst some bright spark would have the idea of closing the train station for this.
