Someone else using your ST when you can't make it ... [Uh oh. Post 43]

You can do it online as long as you have registered, Cancel your card - buy a new one and transfer your account to the new one. I've done it at a station once. Each card is numbered like a season ticket - it's exactly the same. You can even transfer pay as you go credit. They charge in...

Oh I understand that - and also understand the club don't want people buying tickets off someone else. But the reality is that they aren't 3,000 season holders selling their ticket on. The minority are quite easy to catch - but the economics that would drive someone to do so ? Sell on a ticket...

Nope An Oyster season ticket registered to me. It's a season ticket. Oyster extends beyond Pay As You Go. It's a re-usable replacement for a paper ticket. If I lose it, TFL cancel the old one and replace it. It's exactly the same. with the same restrictions. TFL don't charge £15 to discourage...

Sorry that doesn't make sense. I'm a season ticket holder, If I lose my card - the club deactivate and print a new one. .. or do they ? Same thing with Oyster. I can't "clone" a season ticket. So as a season ticket holder, what activity are you trying to discourage me from doing by charging...

Serious question. How does any of the above lead to a charge of £15 for a replacement season ticket ? I'm struggling to see how it has anything to do with "lending" your ticket to someone. Is it genuinely on the basis that people who lend their tickets are more likely to lose them - therefore...

Yep. Customer or member of a private members club with punitive fines.. Charge all you like for a beer, pie or scarf of season ticket. but £15 to replace the plastic ? Come on.

I once made a negative comment about Sainsbury on here and got a message from their marketing team via PM :)

Well they need to sort that rather than placing a "no more than two school children at one time in the shop" poster outside. We are "customers" apparently :) (anyone bought a "seat licence") :)

I did lose mine and had to get a replacement (my fault) But to be charge £15 for a bit of plastic as a season ticket holder for many years.. WOW Understand the clubs problems, understand the need to charge 60p more a pint that Wigan. But that.. I just laughed. I can avoid an expensive pie but...

The £15 charge for a new card is taking the #### though. Banks just mail you a new one. I'm not suggesting that the club charge nothing, but £15 - you are having a laugh. ( disclaimer: yes of course you are an idiot for losing it ) It's very Ryanair.
