Me and Tone speak every other day. Based on previous evidence, he's not the sort of bloke to hang about. You don't get a personal fortune like that by doing so. Not sure that changing the manager again is the right thing to do, but I reckon in the long term he'd prefer his own men in.
The major difference from last season is that with our Chairman putting his own money on the pitch he won't hang around. Unless something changes in the next few of games Slade will be out, irrespective of whether you think he's the man for the job or not.
In reply to Notts, no URL, simply change the display with the dropdown list in the far bottom left hand corner of the screen. Goes into a text only mode which loads very quicky.
Anyone who tries to post on "NSC Lite", but fails - I've found a work around. You can't post a new message, but it seems quite happy if you reply to one and it doesn't bother to quote the original post.
It does feel like the 1970s, but perfect for a slow connection / mobile phone.
Didn't they do that first season of the playoffs ?
But one of teams "going down" had to play one the teams "coming up", to take "their place".
It's a rubbish idea in retrospect. The leagues are so tight at the bottom, relegation isn't usually decided until the last couple of games anyway. anyway.
I'm listening over a very slow connection today, and to wade through posts or try and access something like the main site is a bit frustrating.
Could someone post the team/subs - I'd be much appreciated !
I'm quite pleased by the connection today.
I'm on the outskirts of Southport connecting via my mobile phone in an almost mobile blackspot. Only a couple of bars on the phone and although it drops out every now and then, it's quite adequate.
The BBC havent signed an exclusive deal at all.
They are only allowed to broadcast the commentary locally on the agreement that they hand over the commentary (for nothing) to the league, who then broadcast it over the internet.
If the BBC were to say no, the club would have to get someone else...
Not sure how many time this needs to be posted on here..
The BBC don't own the rights to the internet commentary and are absolutely not allowed to broadcast it over the internet.
In exactly the same way for example, if you tune into radio 5 live over the internet abroad they are forced to cut...
