I'm about to head off to the Emirates for another doomed trip given that my current awayday record in the last 2 years is LDLLLDLLLLDLLLWLL . So no, I'm not completely immune to the idea that currently its not all a bed of roses :)
To be fair , agreeing, and posting at length and researching data to prove it , a thread called "are we the poorest side ever" , hours after a pretty enjoyable afternoon where we stayed up for the 2nd season in a row for the first time in a generation is pretty miserable stuff.
We're not though are we ?
I think we'd all agree that Huddersfield are on a massive downward trajectory. They have 14 points and were relegated weeks ago compared to last season.
Although even in their case they were struggling in 2017/18 and really struggling in 2018/19.
How does it compare...
I think there are other factors but of course points and goals difference is one way of analysing the answer to this query. And of course i don't dispute the data that you've researched.
If that helps threads like this where over and over multiple posters want to debate on NSC just how bad the...
Its to do with the thread which is asking if Albion are the worst ever ? The quality and points total of other teams in that season will be a factor in that.
Not difficult to swallow at all. Do wonder why there's such a lot of posts arguing in great detail over and over if we are the worst at...
And agreed . A lot of NSC posters are saying that.. And presumably given we're not likely to get more than last seasons 40 points you can objectively say that. (Although as a club we've had another year's ££s to develop in multiple ways) . But you started a thread asking if we were the worst...
Last season, look at Watford's form , even after they changed manager in January.
They won only 5 games out of 24 after the end of November, had 1 win in 12 over Christmas/Jan/Feb, and another spell that finished the season of 1 win in 9.
They had some thumpings - lost 5-0 to Liverpool, 6-0...
West Ham had 35 points in 2009/10, Wigan had 36 that year too. If you mean the fewest "points" and not objectively the "worst".
(not sure the desire to debate, in the most positive afternoon for Albion in quite a while exactly how bad we are...but hey !!)
Anyone would think that teams in the Premier League haven't survived relegation but still had long periods of bad form (Palace losing 9 out of the first 10 games in 13/14 for starters) and playing badly . Its happened to Burnley, Southampton and us this year. It happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR.
We...
