If only.
Before he repeated his "out for 3 months" quote in the Monday after Watford in a podcast, the rumour had been up and running for 48 hours by fans talking to the BBC, writing on here and Twitter.
Its not half as problematic as wild rumours on here or Twitter doing the rounds of which Murray's time out is a very good example but yes i get what you're saying.
You won't believe it until he kicks a ball on the pitch. Fair enough.
Hughton thinks he's going to be available on Saturday
The BBC can speak for themselves Trig but BBC Radio Sussex were very clear that these were "rumours" and said they couldn't confirm them. They were correctly reporting what fans were saying.
Murray is back in training today. 19 days after he was injured in the Leicester game.
Not "3 months" or "6-8 weeks" thankfully.
Rumours started and reported by the media, podcasts, twitter, NSC were, in this case at least, just
...wrong.
The club have given updates on Baldock's fitness all summer , sometimes twice weekly. His operation, the recovery time and his likely return.
You must have missed them .

And FWIW then can also confirm there are indeed pix of Glenn on Instagram standing on Brighton beach yesterday with no protective boot etc.

Israel are playing Macedonia at home next Saturday evening and away to Italy on...
No worries. these rumours tend to take flight.
The interview with CH starts at 23.50: All he says on GM was...
"we felt [Glenn Murray] would be fit for this game but that wasn't to be"

the quote on Glenn from JC was
"that fan there was saying 6 weeks...
Yes. If things went as they'd hoped which presumably they haven't. So they didn't know.
Or if you'd prefer because they're stringing us all along for some nefarious reasons I can't quite fathom.
I guess the former is more likely.
Blimey Icy. Make your mind up. A minute ago you said the club don't give injury updates, now you're disputing what has been said in them. The very updates you deny all knowledge of. :)
They didn't. Someone rang up who said they'd heard that. (A tweet ?, a post on here ?)
Hughton in his interview said he hadn't recovered in time for yesterday but wasn't asked and didn't say anything about when he'd be back.
