Perhaps its simply, as you know, because we have an existing roster of u21/dev strikers like James Tilley, Harper, Hambo, Bjordal and Ayunga who played a part in those two u21s matches and they are also need game time so JMD's prospects would have been limited.
So what exactly do you think is...
"contract" - Does he ? The club haven't offered him a DS contract although i guess they will in the summer.
"there are other players above him of a similar age" - James Tilley ? Well he's a year older. Anyone else ? Jack Harper (20), Hambo (21), Joe Ward (21), Bjordal (yep but he's a winger...
Really ? And its up to you and i heartily disagree with you from what i know of the situation but you've spent the last half hour saying that over and over in nearly a dozen posts. (bad and poor choice of loan, hasn't progressed, cat 1 status hasn't delivered despite millions spent etc etc)
So you didn't know he'd been injured, you say he hasn't figured when he was fit except he did, you didn't know how many games the DS squad (one) had left or Worthing have left (a couple) , you say there will be friendlies before the season ends - there are none scheduled. Yet the club have...
Er, except he was on the fringes of the DS squad after christmas before he got injured and came on and played against both Fulham in December and West Ham in mid January.

Yes. But you went a lot further than that . Saying the club aren't "nurturing" him, were wrong to loan him out, and that he doesn't have a future at the club. ("I would be concerned")
The alternative scenario is perhaps we have only a few games left until the end of the season and the club want...
Fair enough you seem utterly convinced he's not being nurtured by the club, they don't think much of him, are making a mistake loaning him out to play adult football, and conclude that his prospects, even though he's been injured for several months, is the u18s top scorer, has scouts sniffing...
Blimey. Aim high. Michael Owen, Rooney, Walcott. - aren't they the only 3 England players to be in World Cup squads at the age of 17/18 in the last 20 years.
There's about 5 accusations here in your short post completely unwarranted.
- "strangely" he's not appeared in the DS recently
- he's been "squirted out" of the club and the club "cooled on him"
- the club "weren't nurturing him"
- its not a good thing to go on loan to a "fairly average...
