RDZ confirms in press conference that DW is close to signing new contract. Also said discussions are taking place between club, David Weir, Milner & Lallana presumably regarding next season/contracts. RDZ says "I think they are both important players. I would like they stay next season."

Happy with that. He adds something to us. When on the pitch, he might not score lots of goals, but defenders definitely have a tough time against him & he creates space for others. & seems happy whether starts or is on the bench. Absolute no brainer to keep him another year.
