I live in east London at the moment and they are resurfacing the whole of Bethnal Green road in 3 weeks, and only parking is suspended. B&H council have been mugged off for 8 weeks of work.

I completely agree with the widening of the pavement on N street, the level of pedestrian congestion on that road was getting ridiculous. Why can't they at least just shut it one way and do it one side at a time? that way you only interrupt one direction rather than both...
