I think we're all sorry you came across an obnoxious Albion fan. Can't condone his actions at all.
But if any of us did the same at St James Park - with your lot battling to avoid relegation - you couldn't guarantee that we wouldn't be confronted by an obnoxious Newcastle fan.
Anyway, I'm done...
Point remains that the OP is moaning about the reception at a party he wasn’t invited to.
Elsewhere in this thread, an Albion fan was assaulted by a Newcastle fan in the home end.
These flash points are going to happen if away fans sit where they’re not supposed to.
I too think it’s lame that...
No-one in this thread is defending the obnoxious Albion fans.
But the fact remains, the incident wouldn’t have happened if away fans didn’t sneak into the home end.
And if you think it’s alright, imagine if we need a win on the final day and City fans are scattered around the Amex. It would be...
I wouldn't disagree that the abuse was unacceptable, but if you've outted yourself to surrounding fans, you're obviously not being discrete!

Well, actually, this is another issue: is ALL of the East Stand Lower now designated as a family area? I think the newly painted signs suggest so.
Until recently is was just E1A-E1C (and only half of the latter)... except during cup matches when there was NO designated family area in the Amex...
Sorry to hear this - sounds like you were around some idiots going OTT - but... E1H is a designated home area, not a mixed zone. As such, your party should have been more discrete imo.
