[Albion] Yes we have injuries but tactically that was garbage, again.

The current best first team and squad, are worse. Add the injuries too. The teams that beat Liverpool 5-2 or Arsenal 0-3, would take this Albion team apart.

Yes. And referred to that here, after a poster said Macca’s completely overrated and was nothing special in the WC.

Centre midfielders who drive teams forward, everything they do forward thinking, at the highest level …. are a dream for forwards and priceless.

Did you regularly mention any of that in the 12 months to Sept 2023? Or post your adoration for RDZ and generally revel in the glory?

He’ll only move to a club with a far superior squad than Albion 2023/24. ManC face mass deep defence like Villa tonight, but have world class player to unlock it.

Two play for Liverpool. Four for Chelsea. Two for Stuttgart. Four are long term injured.

Because the 3 counter attacked against a team (us) that plays an advanced game. They had some space. Fulham, Villa, West Ham, Everton …. all do the same. Potter then RDZ just can’t set up to play that way, not in their DNA or ethos.

Every time he plays, NSC condemns him as sh1t.

7 of them generally stayed back.

So did Warnock, Dyche, Pulis, Moyes, Hughes, Hodgson. Congratulations Brentford, you drew at home against a mid table club.

I said the same in post #15. ManC play similarly to us, Rodri and Foden the difference. Look at the PL goals missing from last season’s greatest ever Albion team. The reason’s for the decline this season are crystal clear. PL goals 2022/23: MacA 10 Gross 9 Solly 7 Mitoma 7 Ferguson 6 Undav 5...

Similar squad cost. Their plans A to Z leave Brentford 15 points behind us. Tonight their plan B, at home against little old Brighton, was to do a Hughton.

Mitoma 2022/23 was incredible but as the season progressed teams triple marked him. Leaving space we exploited elsewhere. This is astonishing and didn’t happen by luck.

Brentford thought Seven Hag and his players were footballing non-entities, then weirdly set up the whole team to stifle us. Who would’ve thought that.

Frank literally played 7-3-0, except for rare counter attacks. The 7 glued to a ‘line’ 20 yards out. Watching Villa lose just now, lots of similarities between the games. The difference; Foden, Rodri. Albion teams through all the ages, even under Saint Potter, rarely beat mass low blocks. Fact.
