[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

I wonder if the club are aiming for a keeper better than any of Sanchez, Steele and Verbruggen. They all have limitations, they’re not great all rounders. Facets would very include distribution. Perhaps that GK will come from the other 10 on the books. Or Verbruggen’s incredibly young, has...

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

I don’t recall “dread”. We’re a largely devil you know/conservative fanbase, most supporters thought Maty Ryan was the business, people daring to criticise faced a bit of a backlash. Imho there was a lazy lumping-them-both-together football snobbery about Button and Steele. One or two people...

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

That’s a binary Steele v ex-player comparison. In reality we have Verbruggen. RDZ made the call on Steele. Then Dunk et al threw the game, imho our high risk set up did too. Last May and September only one poster, not you I think, lamented Steele playing.

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

I’ve not heard that from anyone. Ever. They’re a laughing stock, Boehly and latterly Winstanley are derided as the worst example of transfers incompetence.

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

Why are some here giving special favour to a player who asked not to travel after learning he was to remain a sub? Commitment to the cause, even if a sub, means everything in pro team sport.

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

Only one person, not you, was complaining as Steele’s XI tore the PL apart in the latter half of 2022/23.

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

In the first 20 minutes the TNT commentary team said they were blitzing us at the back. Not the first to do it, Emery had a field day in making us look naive idiots.

[Albion] Was forcing Sanchez out the worst decision our club has made in years?

Steele took us to Europe with his passing game that helped tear the likes of Manure apart. The first team was decimated last summer, by October chickens had come home to rest. We’re a way worse team than last season. Tonight … Dunk and Lamptey have had defensive shockers, along with RDZ’s...
