Comparing to the Fulham 11 that a year ago outclassed us at Craven Cottage yet again. They’re missing Mitrovic, Tete, Kebano, De Cordova-Reed.
Are they quality?
Spurs and even more so Arsenal have been steadily spending heavily for a few seasons. These aren’t miracles. Arteta’s been backed in a huge way. Boehly has taken the spotlight off that, plus much of the football media are Arsenal fanboys.
I said it pre season and I backed that at Betfair, Spurs and Chelsea will do well in the PL. Why? Apart from huge spending compared to many teams, whilst ManC/Arse/Manure/Newc/Pool/Albion/Villa/WHam have a stack of extra games and travelling, they have a wonderful week’s rest, prep and tunnel...
For anyone wanking themselves over Chelsea, they’ve spent over £1,000,000,000 in fees alone under Boehly. They have a cozy rest between most PL games.
Some wins are inevitable. They’ll threaten top 7 places.
And now, guess what, they want to spend on Toney and Osimhen in January.
That post will get a lot of likes on an Albion forum. The uniquely hard done by Albion theory.
People, as you said about clubs, need to unite about the incompetence of VAR in the PL. Whilst UEFA and FIFA officials from what I’ve seen are two levels above.
I know you hate Liverpool and Scousers more than anything in the world 🙂 . I love the city, folk and have a lifetime soft spot for the club, Klopp is a great imho, I love his passion and chest beating ….. if I was a manager I’d be him or RDZ. I’ve been many, many times. This is just typical...
Live game on TV? Plus Liverpool haven’t rolled over and had their tummy tickled.
If Spurs had been robbed of a 100% clear goal, a key goal, would you want Ange to fight your cause? Look at (adopted Spurs fan) Jenas last week, he went berserk that VAR’s killing the game, only backtracking to...
We must be a big club then, because there was a huge furore/coverage over our robbed big win at WHL 🙂.
And as someone said above, glaring VAR mistakes that altered a game on live TV, get far more coverage.
Rewriting of history above.
Our emphatic win at WHL, stolen by incompetence over and over again, got huge national coverage at the time and for a couple of weeks or more afterwards. Rightly debated to death on R5 and TS.
Why are we now pretending that VAR got away with little interest because...
Ref/VAR forever inventing new ways of being completely wrong on key decisions. This season seems the same old despite the recent appointment of Howard Webb. So many errors already, off the top of my head the Manure goalie not being sent off for assault on a Wolves player in August, Newcastle’s...
