[Albion] Will the awful showing at Everton force action in the transfer window?

In this discussion I’ve included throughout the LC ManU game, where we allowed McTominay a gift from heaven. Because we played Dunk/White/Burn so essentially our PL defensive set up. Plus Maguire’s header was goal bound until Maupay cheated.

Yes. Just the same broadcasting income as us, paid in tranches throughout the season, bar a few £m variation for final league position. Less a £16.5m rebate per club to Sky this season, for last. Remember that the majority of total club income goes on player wages anyway, so broadcasting...

I don’t think the Europa League fantasists were the fans who worry.

I agree with you about the playing side. If we don’t get an additional striker in tomorrow, Maupay must stay fit for the season ahead.

I’m talking about the small sample of this season, versus those 3 seasons, on a per game basis. Not set pieces, but specifically headers. Perhaps it’s impossible to find out about headers conceded, I had a brief look. Even GP has mentioned the errors in his latest post match interviews.

We’re both just guessing. We need stats of headed goals conceded per game, over the 3 and a bit seasons.

Not lamenting, I said time moves on. Did we concede a load of unforced error goals to unmarked players under CH/GP with those wise old heads in the box? I thought we were commended for battling qualities in defence, Dunk called up for England.

In defending corners/free-kicks aerially? Nothing against Bissouma, he doesn’t need to be in this discussion. But a packed 6 yard box with the height and nous of 2 or 3 CB’s, Murray and Stephens was pretty good at the collective art defending aerials. Muzza had been brilliant at that since...

and Stephens? All three battlers, tall and experienced at defending set pieces.

The club will say it won't make a difference. So let's hope some significant signings (including loanees) are arriving by Monday.
