I'm seemingly a lone voice in a divided NSC these days. I liked and rated Duffy and I rate Webster.
We can't have it both ways that Dunk and Duffy were incredible, whilst Webster's an awful defender, when the defence in both eras has identical stats of 1.5 goals conceded per EPL match.
Is it...
Yet, despite Duffy being allegedly better and he had the advantage of a mass ranked defence under CH, the Potter defence has identical stats of conceding an average of 1.5 goals per EPL game.
If the Potter defence is an endless litany of costly mistakes, then shirley the Duffy defence was...
Celtic fans want Lennon out, very strong feelings for many weeks now. Not fooled by winning the league with the biggest budget.
Sparta Prague were missing 7 players tonight.
I never slag off Webster (but from afar watch the hoards that do), so I'm innocent of all charges!
Plus I never make things personal about an Albion player. Other than Akpom, who stole his wages ... tosser.
Apology accepted, cheers. Webster’s getting a shoeing on that other thread, I don’t join in, my worst ‘crime’ would be to praise Duffy at this time.
I have hope for Burn and Webster. I think they and Dunk, are all suffering from the rigid tactics, plus call me old fashioned but I feel so...
Where are my vendetta, deriding or nasty quotes about Webster? I think you’re confusing me with a large array of NSC’ers who simpy don’t rate the player. Post matches where we’ve failed to win and everyone piles in targeting Webster, I can’t recall laying into him at all.
To my mind, Propper...
I loved Barnes all the way through, the same with Muzza, have always defended them to the hilt. The Barnes and occasional Muzza haters know little and are also disrespectful to players who banged in the goals, and got us promoted in 2011 as just one example.
I think Duffy is a more than decent...
Wants to prove fellow Albion fans wrong, when it’s confirmed one day by whoever decides these things, that:
a) Duffy was an awful footballer and defender; and that
b) Webster ended up being a footballing God.
