Chilwell’s only just starting out at International level and he was targeted with a thug’s challenge against Holland.
IMHO he’ll be a star for one of the Manchester clubs and England for the next decade,
Excellent choices.
Lingard more often than not puts in good performances for England (despite ManU fans seemingly rating him as shite these days).
Edit: Forgot about Chilwell - a star of the next 10 years.
We were shite against Holland imho, but so much better today across all outfield positions.
I really hope Southgate remains open minded, as he was when he came in, about choosing future first 11’s based on who’s in best form for England. Not on reputation, the club they play for and/or blind...
I’m fine with it, Wilson shouldn’t have completely pointlessly fouled an opponent.
We’d have been pleased if it prevented a goal against England.
Over time, intelligent players will cut out unnecessary fouls in the box.
You can bet, sadly, that Walker will be number one come the qualifiers.
Whereas, I’d thought Southgate was all about every position was up for grabs, abandoning the dogged favouritism of his predecessors.
England upped their game after about an hour, by far the best team now. If only Sterling would relax and tuck all the chances away.
Much better in defence without the awful Walker and Stones.
