The internet has given a platform to nationalists, anti semites, you name it. Gaining hitherto unlikely support. My hope is that the rest of us, challenge the hate and win at the ballot box (past these virtually meaningless Euro elections).

Good post. Many people of Jewish faith are against the actions of the right wing Israeli government, and no abuser would know her views. There’s often hypocrisy from these one eyed bigots. Variously turning a blind eye to murderous regimes in Russia, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, UAE...

Is one of my core beliefs. I made that plain in post #38. It’s the racists and bigots (increasing in number, sadly), who view anyone not looking like them and/or originating from the same country as them and/or holding different beliefs, as a target.

Same here. But I feel for minorities particularly and don’t hold it against them if they worship a faith. Whether it be a Bangladeshi beaten up in a UK town, a black person by police in the USA, a Jew in Germany or a Palestinian in Tel Aviv.

I was simply commenting on the murderous attacks on Jews 85 years ago in Germany, and now the new threat in the very same country. I condemn the latter. Any decent human being would.

A couple of years back we passed a Jewish school in Kilburn. The ‘compound’ perimeter was a 15’ high steel wall with razor wire at the top.

Frightening to think that 85 years on, the threat of violent anti semitism by some has returned to the epicentre of the Holocaust.
