True. Along with huge pay rises for any other key players retained for the PL first team. A wage rise from £12,000 to say £35,000 per week, with employers national insurance, would cost the club £1.36m per annum per player.

That's a realistic list of those who are top flight quality, hopefully. I would add Hunnemaier and Baldock, but the latter absent too much.
