There does seem to be some confusion ( mostly prompted by the Greens inability to understand the 4.75% increase was rejected ). I watched the council meeting and it's very clear that the Green proposal was voted down. They can't just bring it back - it's dead.

But Labour have offered an alternative budget - one including a 2% increase which seems reasonable. Sadly the Greens have gone for political gestures - i.e. we'll fight government cuts when in reality they mean they pass the cuts onto the hard pressing local taxpayer. Yeh, that's REALLY fighting...
