Exactly, he seems to talk a lot about something he obviously knows very little about, which leads me to wonder whether he is just an idiot or whether he has other motives.
ok, I believe you. Faaaaassssands wouldn't. It just seems strange that I get between 1 and 3 cabs each day, Monday to Friday, using Streamline, and I never have a problem and yet you seem to get such poor service every time and then post about it on here. Maybe, if Uber aren't able to meet your...
You seem to have major problems every time that you use a Brighton taxi. In your previous post, you said bye bye 202020 etc and said that you would be using Uber. Yet in this post, you chose to use the terrible 202020 again. That seems strange. Then you met SIX rude cabbies in a row on East...
I think it's because there are so many overheads for running a cab, that the ph cabs can't afford to under cut the Hackneys. Unless you are happy to have the drivers earning less than minimum wage like Uber. Anyway, I've done my bit to defend the cab trade and my regular cab drivers. I shall...
I take it that's night-time when I don't often use them. You may be right, but if you book through the office, they will always do you a reasonable set-fare in my experience. .
Because it can afford to, until it gets control of the market. Why do you think that it is prepared to run at a loss? And if it does, how do you expect local cab firms to compete on price. The fact is you don't care, because it saves you a few pennies.
The council set the prices. The only way you could lower the prices is if there were less cabs. That way they would get more work, but you would need to wait longer. I've never met these rip-off cab drivers that you speak of, although I only use them during the day time. I usually have a...
Exactly, it's amazing how many fine people on here don't mind the fact that Uber exploits it's workforce, so long as it saves them a few pence. Why should they care if a lot of cabbies lose their livelihoods. It will be easy enough for the mostly middle-aged men to find work elsewhere. F@ck'em...
So two out of three cabs driving to jobs where their is nobody there all over the city is going to enable them to improve the service is it? I hope your Sunday pub lunch is f@cking 'orrible!
My brother was a cabbie for 12 years. The drivers are self-employed and by the nature of the job, are not sure where they will be situated an hour in advance. They are 'offered' a job by the controller. Unless your journey is going to make it financially viable for them to sit around on a...
Well done for booking three cabs. The drivers that are trying to make a living for their famlies must really appreciate that. Maybe if people like you only ordered one cab, there would be more cabs available for everyone. Whatever you think of the Companies, the cab drivers I know and use don't...
Is that definite? I thought they had until next Friday to trigger their one year licence, which they are doing today. That is what my cab driver told me this morning.
I use cabs most week days, I get a good service and the drivers are almost always friendly and up for a chat. They are hardly millionaires either and they need to earn enough to live on. I won't be changing to Uber. (I work in catering!)
