[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Good point. I think all costs are actually deducted before the money is split so my example was simplistic, but it all goes to show what tiny margins the club has for this match. Even so I think opening the WSU is the right decision.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I think they have sold about 1000 in WSU so far with around 250 left in other areas, so that's approximately 750 tickets sold that wouldn't have been otherwise. Taking concessions into account £15 average per ticket seems a reasonable guess, which after VAT is £12.5. But the club only gets to...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I expect they struggle to make any significant money from most cup games. Discounting TV money they probably made a loss against Palace, especially as the policing costs were no doubt many times higher than for normal games. Even the prize money for winning is probably less than the players win...

Bemusing isn't it. Not everyone is an avid fan who has every fixture etched into their brain.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I do find the lack of promotion mystifying. We have a great opportunity to get to the quarter finals for only the third time in our history and yet I can't recall getting any recent emails about tickets. The most recent official tweet I could find was on Feb 2nd and you have to go back to the...

    If you look at the source code on the ticketing web page you can determine the capacity for each section. E3A 125, E3B 316, E3C 542, E3D 614, E3E 614, E3F 530, E3G 323, E3H 125. So the total is 3189.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Sunday is always very slow for tickets sales so I doubt we'll sell more than 200-250 today. Monday is always much busier and I'd be surprised if we sold less than 800 tomorrow. So I reckon there will be around 500 left by the end of Monday and they will have to consider opening WSU.

My guess is they will release more seats in W1A and E1H before they open WSU or ESU.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

There are still 9 days of tickets sales left. We sold around 1500 yesterday, but that was mainly because it was the first day on sale to anyone with a purchase history. Even with limited choice left we have sold around 130 in a couple of hours this morning. I think we'd easily sell another 3000...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Doesn't look like they will be getting more than 15%. https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2018/february/tickets-brighton-fa-cup-details-confirmed/ "Tickets will go on sale initially to Season Ticket holders on Tuesday, 6th February at 9am, with the Sky Blues handed an allocation of 4,529 tickets...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

My impression is home demand is fairly strong for this tie. 3100 left on sale at the moment, plus the option of opening up W1A and E1H means something approaching 4000-4500 left in the lower tier. WSU + N2A and N2B gives another 4500. Probably enough to satiate demand, but if not and ESU is...
