No just an opinion. His appearance stats are a strong indicator that he doesn't have another season in him.

If the club are happy to do it - then fair enough. Many believe Lallana and Milner are amongst our top earners. If this is true, the argument that we can't afford wages to keep our better players, becomes increasingly hard to accept.

No I would agree. But do you think either of them would have talked him out of retiring?

Agreed. Personally I think he's taking the piss, not retiring. He's forced the club to make a decision and they've bottled it IMO.

I can understand not wanting to retire, when you can earn £5m a season as a player and less than 2% of that as a Coach. But there comes a point when someone has to talk some sense, on this one.
