[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

Great post and thanks for adding an actual potential solution. Worth raising to the FAB to see if there is any possibility of increasing buses/carriages and what it would cost. I would probably not use it that much, but would happily spend an additional £2 a ticket to stop this subject being...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

For the past 2 seasons I have been walking between Brighton Station and the ground for most games (unless i'm running late). Mainly because i need the exercis, but also because I have found the whole queueing experience increasingly unpleasant. Adds about 45 mins to the journey there, but the...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

I agree with your sentiment, and I really couldn't give a toss on who leaves or not, but the reasons given here are the exceptions not the rule. The majority of people leave because not queueing for an hour is preferable to cheering the team on. The fact a considerable percentage of our fans...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

Marginally if at all would be my guess. I suspect the recent increases to the capacity and a higher % turn out vs pretendence, has led to the train queues worsening, which as you say may have triggered a vicious circle for those who feel a pressing need to beat the queues

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

All of the other grounds you mention have multiple options for fans to head to to travel from. The vast majority of our fans are heading for 1 train station. That is the differentiator Spurs is a pretty bad location too - but there are 5 different stations to choose between. Fans quickly get...

    Unusual first post

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

I'm sure that must have been the only occasion when the east stand actually stayed to the bitter end to cheer on the team. Must have been, otherwise how would that have been possible..... Also worth mentioning that the train situation back to London was an absolute clusterfuck yesterday too...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

Well obviously not. Do you realise what time the committed fans would be getting home without the day-trippers leaving early!!

You missed out Goalkeeper not being good enough.

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

I agree that I don't get why people would choose to leave on Sunday ( other than inescapable commitments) but some do. I can see some people might leave out of frustration and the inevitably of how the game was going to peter out. It's far better that those that stay, make positive...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

The majority of footage is of the East stand.. By far the quietest stand in the ground. The South east corner is always the last to sell out and is populated with amuch higher percentage of young families and day-trippers. Some of the fans that leave will have been fans that would have urged...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

You do understand what hypothetical means, don't you? Whatever you think you might be doing in this situation, and the impact you think it would have, is irrelevant. Firstly show me where this raucous home support is supposed to come from. Now point me to the stats where a team with such a...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

Maybe. Do you think the East stand leavers are actually going to "roar them on" at any point during the game though? Maybe we should be looking at changing our demographic and see if we can get rid of the families coming to the game and get some Ultras in? This whole discussion is...

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

Travelling back to London regularly. On both Europa League games, Multiple London bound trains have been cancelled. I can see why people wouldn't want to risk it.

[Albion] Leaving before the full time whistle

A third of the stadium does not leave with 10 minutes to go. Possibly a third of the family stand does. About 3 people leave from around where I am in the North Stand. The idea that this has any impact on the players is utter bullshit. The remaining fans are generally making more noise at this...
