I have on occasion sat in the South and South/East stands. The atmosphere in those stands is appalling, particularly if there's a half decent away section. Their volume drowns out most of the noise coming from the North. I would imagine those complaining about the Amex atmosphere are sitting...

ALL British football fans are reactive. Palace doubly so and they know it too. Hardly a peep from them last week. No surprise, for 70 minutes they were humiliated. But even after the lucky equaliser, they were pretty damn quiet.

THIS! When the West Stand goes, it is a mighty noise. It has to be a very special occasion, for that to happen.
