I'm not going to get feisty. I'll ask you two questions. Why did Brighton not just sack Gus Poyet as many clubs sack their manager? Why go through all this hassle if there was not a lot more to it than a simple sacking??
I agree its a massive PR risk. But I also think it was deliberate to announce it, because they know he is loose tongued, and hoped that he will say something. I think the point is to allow Gus enough rope to hang himself so to speak.
The interim manager is only interim pending appeal and is...
It won't be first thing will it. I don't think the ticket office opens until 9am. so you will have to wait until then. I'm sure the next in queue will jump at it? Is it just one your cancelling or it is a pair? I might know someone interested :flounce:
Because I am laughing at some of the over reaction on here, and I don't think for one second the club is being dragged through the mud.
The club have just sacked their manager and the manager appears to TV to claim he found out from the BBC.... and people believe him. That's whats funny...
I generally don't think they would have done. I have no doubt the timing of this was deliberate from the club.
If he hadn't been informed I think we may have had another PR issued apologising for the fact, but the club have taken over a month over this, they are not going to mess up now, but I...
Its a forum doppey. We all speculate, and none of us know for sure what has happened. But you keep worshipping Poyet as he drags this out as long as he can.
I don't know for sure, perhaps one of our HR people can confirm one way or the other, but I am fairly certain you cannot announce the out come of an internal investigation without informing the defendant lawyers first. So i would say its fairly certain Poyet or his lawyers would have known...
That's all you can do.
Bear in mind the last time Poyet appeared on the TV he was questioning whether the club had hit a roof.
Now he wants to speak to the players and stay after all this has happened?
I'd pick through that and deceide he is telling you what you want to hear.
Look on the...
I think Poyets ego would suggest he will say what he thinks people will want to hear. I am staggered he made any comments at all. Surely his lawyers would have said to him to say nothing, if in fact he had just been sacked on live TV? In fact I am amazed they never pulled him out of the stuido...
Its all Gus bullshit! Surely that line itself must make his loyalist fans see through him!! At least we haven't hit the "roof" then if he now wants to stay!!
He has just said he wants to speak to the players and get back to managing us next season....... Slightly different to the shit he came out with after the Palace game. I take he feels he have no longer hit the roof then??
Why are people on here still believing every word the man says???
Fancy announcing his intention to appeal on live TV.
Surely this should have been done through his lawyers direct to the club, before announcing it live on TV??
