Well, we didn't crash, so the prayer clearly worked.

First time I flew Pakistan Airlines about 25 years ago we had halal food, no booze and a prayer before take off. And I'm quite sure they (and other airlines) were doing it years before that. Not sure why this story is a) new, or b) news.
